We are thrilled to announce that Foodmach has been honoured with the prestigious 2024 APPMA Awards of Excellence Australian Machinery Manufacture Award – Corporate, sponsored by Central Innovation. This accolade was awarded specifically for Foodmach’s Robomatrix Dual Infeed which was delivered for for Asahi Melbourne.

Dallas Coote, Director-Applications Engineer and Estimation at Foodmach, expressed his excitement about the win, stating, “We are incredibly proud to receive this award, which is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our team. The Robomatrix® Dual Infeed represents a significant advancement in palletising technology, and we are honoured to be recognised for our innovation.”

The Robomatrix Dual Infeed is a revolutionary Australian palletising solution designed to address the evolving needs of beverage manufacturers. Traditionally, manufacturers faced challenges with larger formats, but as the market shifts towards sleek cans and diverse bottles, efficient palletisation of smaller formats becomes paramount.

“This award is a validation of the innovation and craftsmanship that went into developing the Robomatrix Dual Infeed,” said Dallas Coote. “By utilising two ABB robots for simultaneous dual infeed, we have achieved a level of efficiency and flexibility that was previously dominated by European suppliers.”

One of the key features of the Robomatrix Dual Infeed is its flexibility, seamlessly accommodating various formats with ease. The Robowizard programming tool empowers customers to optimise loads, reduce waste, and minimise damage, enhancing operational efficiency and product quality.

“At Foodmach, we are committed to sustainability and reducing our environmental footprint,” said Dallas Coote. “That’s why the Robomatrix Dual Infeed features variable drives and energy-efficient motors, demonstrating our dedication to championing sustainability in the manufacturing industry.”

The success of the Robomatrix Dual Infeed is not limited to the Australian market. Foodmach is actively pursuing global markets, positioning itself as the sole Australian palletiser manufacturer capable of handling smaller formats competitively.

“As proven at Asahi’s Tullamarine plant, the Robomatrix Dual Infeed is a robust, high-performing solution that offers a strategic investment in efficiency, flexibility, and sustainability,” remarked Dallas Coote. “We are excited about the opportunities that lie ahead as we continue to innovate and deliver cutting-edge solutions to our customers worldwide.”
