Engineering and manufacturing company CR has bought the underground mining business of specialised Bendigo steel casting company Keech Castings.

CR, formally known as CQMS Razer, will acquire Keech’s business in underground ground engagement tools including customer contracts, mining products and all associated Intellectual Property.

The acquisition includes Keech’s UGET WearPact, ArmourBlade & new SNRG product lines which are made of hardened steels to improve wear characteristics.

Keech has been designing and manufacturing high integrity steel castings for over 85 years for leading mining companies here and overseas.

As well as ground engaging tools, the company also manufactures tillage implements, rolling stock components and custom casting products which are not part of the sale.
